📝 How to write a number in words
The converter spells out a number using English word forms: place values (thousands, millions), cardinals, ordinals, and money wording. Handy for checks, contracts, invoices, and any form that asks for an amount in writing.
In official documents the amount is often duplicated: 15,000 (Fifteen thousand) dollars and 00 cents.

❓ FAQ
When should amounts be written in words?
Checks, promissory notes, and many contracts require the figure in digits and again in words to reduce ambiguity and forgery risk.
How are compound ordinals formed?
Only the last word becomes ordinal: 21 → twenty-first, 105 → one hundred fifth.
