💱 How the converter works

The converter converts an amount from one currency to another using official Central Bank of Russia rates. All calculations go through the rouble: first to RUB, then to the target currency.

Rates load automatically and update daily. Nominals (e.g. per 10 or 100 units) are normalised to the price of one unit.

🔄 Conversion formula

If K(X) is the rate of currency X in roubles per unit:

From X to Y: Amount_Y = Amount_X × K(X) / K(Y)
Cross rate: 1 X = K(X) / K(Y) units of Y

Example: if 1 USD = 90 ₽ and 1 EUR = 98 ₽, then 100 USD = 100 × 90 / 98 ≈ 91.84 EUR.
