Values go through square metres first, then to the target unit. Metric (km² down to nm²), English/US (township, homestead, acre, rood, rod², square) and older Russian measures: square verst, desyatina, square sazhen.

✅ Tips
- In Russian land talk, «sotka» means one are (100 m²).
- Township and homestead appear in US land records.
