❓ How the calculator works
The calculator finds how many wallpaper rolls you need. First it counts strips along the perimeter, then how many strips fit in one roll given height, pattern repeat and a margin. The result is rounded up.
Doors and windows are not subtracted — that provides a cutting allowance.
📐 Formulas
Strip length
Height + Repeat + 0.1 m (margin)
Rolls
Strips = ⌈Perimeter / Roll width⌉
Rolls = ⌈Strips / Strips per roll⌉
💡 Example
Perimeter 14 m, height 2.7 m, roll 0.53 × 10 m, no pattern:
- Strip length: 2.7 + 0 + 0.1 = 2.8 m
- Strips per roll: ⌊10 / 2.8⌋ = 3
- Strips needed: ⌈14 / 0.53⌉ = 27
- Rolls: ⌈27 / 3⌉ = 9 pcs
✅ Tips
- Pattern repeat is the motif step — take it from the roll label or waste will grow.
- Standard roll width is 0.53 m, length 10 m; non-woven rolls may differ.
- Buy all rolls from one batch — colour can vary between runs.
- For niches and columns add 1–2 extra rolls.
