⚡ What the calculator computes
The power calculator finds electrical power in watts from current, voltage and resistance for DC and AC networks using Ohm’s law relationships.
📐 Formulas
P = U × I × k
Current and voltage (k — network coefficient)
P = I² × R
Current and resistance
P = U² / R
Voltage and resistance
💡 Example
I = 10 A, U = 220 V, DC (k = 1): P = 220 × 10 = 2200 W ≈ 2.2 kW.
✅ Tips
- For household single-phase AC a power factor ≈ 0.95 is often used.
- Three-phase industrial circuits use higher coefficients.
- Results above 1000 W are also shown in kilowatts.
