❓ How the calculator works
The calculator finds log volume and mass from diameter or circumference, length, species and moisture. Volume uses a cylinder model; mass = volume × density.

- Enter sizes in millimetres.
- Tapered logs are approximated as cylinders — average diameter helps.
- Moisture strongly affects mass at the same volume.
