The average grade is the arithmetic mean of all grades. Add all grades and divide the sum by the count.

📜 Certificate and diploma averages
The certificate average is the usual arithmetic mean of all grades in the document. Sum the marks and divide by their number.
The diploma average is calculated the same way — from grades in the diploma supplement. Pass/fail credits are usually excluded unless the receiving party specifies otherwise.

Are pass/fail credits included?
In common practice, pass credits are usually not part of the average. If required, they are often counted as a «5».
How should I round the result?
Compute the exact value first, then round using standard rules: 4.45 → 4.5, 4.55 → 4.6.
