Fuel consumption calculator
Calculate your carβs average consumption or the cost of an upcoming trip
β How the calculator works
The calculator finds the average fuel consumption per 100 km from the distance driven and the amount of fuel used. If you enter the price per litre, it also shows the total cost and the cost of one kilometre.
π Formulas
Consumption per 100 km
(Litres / Km) Γ 100
Trip cost
Litres Γ Price per litre
1 km = Cost / Km
π‘ Example
100 km, 8 L of fuel, price 55.50 per litre:
- Consumption: (8 / 100) Γ 100 = 8 L / 100 km
- Cost: 8 Γ 55.50 = 444
- 1 km: 444 / 100 = 4.44
β½ How to measure consumption correctly
- Fill the tank until the pump clicks off and reset the trip odometer.
- Drive your usual route (at least 100β200 km).
- Fill up again to full at the same station.
- The litres from the second fill are your real use for the distance driven.
