❓ How the calculator works
The engineering calculator performs arithmetic and scientific calculations: addition, multiplication, powers, roots, trigonometry and logarithms. Results appear on the display; intermediate values can be stored in memory (M+, M−, MR, MC).
Trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan) work in degrees, not radians.
🧮 Available functions
sin, cos, tan — argument in degrees
sin(90°) = 1, cos(0°) = 1
log — base 10 (log₁₀)
ln — natural (loge)
x^y — exponentiation
√ — square root
x² — square of a number
1/x — reciprocal
π ≈ 3.14159
e ≈ 2.71828
💡 Example calculations
- sin(90°) = 1
- log(100) = 2 (common logarithm)
- √(9) = 3
- 2 x^y 3 → 2³ = 8
For binary operations (+, −, ×, ÷, x^y): enter the first number, press the operation, enter the second and press «=».
✅ Tips
- «C» clears the current input and operation; «⌫» deletes the last character.
- Memory (M+, M−) adds or subtracts the current value; MR recalls it, MC clears memory.
- For trigonometry, make sure the angle is in degrees — radians will give wrong results.
- sin, cos, tan, log, ln, √, x² and 1/x apply to the number on screen immediately, without pressing «=».
