📐 Formula
- Savings = Price × Discount / 100
- Final price = Price − Savings
Or shorter: final price = Price × (1 − Discount / 100).
💡 Example
An item costs 1,000 with a 30% discount:
- Savings = 1,000 × 30 / 100 = 300
- Final price = 1,000 − 300 = 700
✅ Tips
- Compare the discounted price with competitors’ regular prices — a “−30%” deal is not always the best.
- With stacked discounts each applies to the already reduced amount — this calculator handles one discount at a time.
- Check whether the discount is off the full price or an already marked-down “was” price on the tag.
