❓ How the calculator works
The calculator computes concrete volume in cubic metres for two shapes: a rectangular slab (foundation, screed) or a cylindrical column. Results update when dimensions or type change.
📐 Formulas
Slab / rectangle
V = Length × Width × Thickness
Column / cylinder
V = π × (Diameter / 2)² × Height × Quantity
💡 Examples
Slab 5 × 4 m, thickness 0.2 m:
- V = 5 × 4 × 0.2 = 4.000 m³
Column diameter 0.5 m, height 2 m, qty 1:
- V = π × 0.25² × 2 ≈ 0.393 m³
✅ Tips
- Order 5–10% extra — some mix stays in the truck and on formwork.
- 1 m³ = 1000 litres; mixers typically deliver 1–9 m³ per trip.
- For strip foundations split into rectangular sections and sum volumes.
- Concrete grade (M200, M300) affects strength, not pour volume.
